Position Summary:


Provides daily guidance and direction to Operations in the optimization of Enable's T&S pipeline operations across multiple pipeline systems. Collaborate with other departments to provide scheduling, imbalance, OBA, storage, balancing services and system management directives. Leads pipeline maintenance planning and scheduling for the EGT and MRT systems and develops necessary reporting for compliance. Provides varied and complex management and/or operational analysis, reports and recommendations in support of business/departmental programs. Performs various evaluations, controls, and calculations to produce, support, and maintain data system integrity. Integrates and compiles data into quantifiable summaries, models, and forecasts for development, review, and approval of issue action plans. Develops recommendations to improve operational processes based on analysis.


This position requires advanced knowledge within a functional area and is often considered an expert in the area of responsibility. Performs work without appreciable direction and completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Develops technical solutions to highly complex or interrelated problems. Requires the ability to interpret and adapt theory and concepts into workable solutions. Leads and mentors less experienced professionals.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a source of expertise on reporting systems and data sources.
  • Lead in identifying appropriate statistical and modeling procedures, metrics, budgetary requirements, and information requirements for company.
  • Take action in a self-directed manner to identify issues and make recommendations to department leadership.
  • Apply best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve processes or services.
  • Lead or provide input to system and/or process design and configuration.
  • Solve problems and develop solutions that call for original approach based on thorough and comprehensive knowledge and expertise.
  • Lead in providing guidance and direction for daily pipeline activities, operations, commercial and storage strategies and projects for multiple groups and pipelines; provide consultation and advisory support to other teams.
  • Synthesize data and analysis into high-level presentations for management and senior management.
  • Act as subject matter expert; determine the need for data review and direct analysis of less experienced team members, as needed.
  • Through analysis and expertise, proactively identify problems or challenges and provide strategic solutions to top management.
  • Anticipate data needs, new and existing, for building capabilities in management and strategic decision-making.
  • Plan, prioritize, conduct and lead assignments.
  • Serve as project or case manager in the development, analysis, presentation, and completion of business projects.
  • Act as a resource for members with less experience and direct the technical complexities of work.
  • Determine type of analysis needed to achieve a goal or result and identify the stakeholders of a project or initiative; may lead or act as lead project team.
  • Lead and mentor less experienced analysts.


Minimum Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, six (6) years' directly related experience will be considered.
  • Eight (8) years' directly related experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of pipeline business and role of department in daily pipeline activities, operations and projects.
  • Ability to schedule one or more Enable pipeline system(s) without appreciable direction.
  • Advanced knowledge of Pipeline Tariffs, customers, contracts and policies.
  • Recognize and anticipate need to develop and write OA's and SPW's. Direct others in posting process.
  • Recognized expert in one or more areas of specialization and/or multiple pipeline systems.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
  • Ability to distill very complex data into concise and easily understood concepts and recommendations.
  • Ability to distill data and analysis into high-level reports and summaries.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Exceptional knowledge and expertise with analytical tools.
  • Strong data management skills; ability to audit, format, model and analyze large data sets.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility.
  • Advanced skills in computer applications, databases and reporting software (ServiceLynx, SCADA, ABI, Microsoft Office Suite, Saleslogix).
  • Ability to develop network of contacts and partners, as needed.
  • Strong collaboration skills in order to partner effectively across various levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements:


  • Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.


Working Conditions:


  • Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to carry a cell phone while on-call and respond to call-outs, potentially including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls and/or call-outs and return to work while off duty.
  • Based on business requirements, may be assigned to shiftwork.
  • Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.
  • Subject to normal office noise
