Summary:  This position is responsible for enterprise analytics and architecture capabilities. This includes data analytics and reporting, data and application integration, and extension of Enterprise Systems IE SAP, Quorum, Flowcal, Maximo.  Partners with business units to understand the analytical and reporting needs to satisfy both operational and strategic goals.  Establishes data management practices to ensure Enable data is timely, accurate, complete, and available.   Plans, directs and coordinates all activities associated with creating, acquiring, implementing enterprise architecture frameworks and artifacts across multiple functional areas of the organization.  Designs, develops, maintains, tests, and supports the company’s data and business analytic, reporting, integration strategies, architecture. Responsible for solution development lifecycle and product development capabilities across the technology portfolio for Enable.

 

Accountable for performance of multiple complex sub-functional areas or a highly complex and specialized sub-functional area.  Establishes short-, medium- and long-term business plans for area of responsibility.    Executes functional business plans and contributes to functional strategy.  Applies advanced knowledge of functional area by designing, integrating and executing programs and processes across several functional groups.  Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility. 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Execute strong and continuous leadership in maintaining a high-quality support team comprised of appropriately skilled individuals.
  • Lead and develop a team of data / system analysts and/or data architects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead solution development capabilities for internal business systems and the extension of Enterprise Platforms.
  • Establish enterprise architecture practice and capabilities to support corporate and ET strategies
  • Establish and maintain data models to drive the information management strategy across all business functions.
  • Create successful business intelligence and data analytics services that demonstrate a deep understanding of the user experience.
  • Build and maintain data and data analytics environments, including the support of data hub/bus, dashboard, and data reporting/query tools. 
  • Design and deliver a data integration architecture and platform that integrates information from multiple sources without loss of data quality or timeliness.
  • Manage and lead applications solutions for large scale IT projects to ensure the delivery of optimal application solutions that are aligned with the business and IT visions.
  • Remain current on industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into the company’s data & analytics / business intelligence environments.
  • Source, recruit, and hire to meet staffing needs.
  • Provide coaching and development feedback to employees.
     

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required.
  • Twelve (12) years of information technology experience or equivalent experience in data management, data analytics, data architecture and development.
  • Experience supervising a team of IT professionals preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the following:
    • Data management best practices.
    • Electronic content management platforms and practices.
    • Third party software for data management and server applications.
    • Vendor management techniques and practices.
    • IT Service Management best practices like, ITIL, SDLC, etc.

  • Ability to use personal computer software proficiently, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database managers and electronic mail and integrated mainframe programs.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate orally in a clear manner.
  • Ability to view a personal computer monitor or laptop screen for extended periods of time.
  • Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to produce quality work in fast paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.
  • Subject to normal office noise levels.
  • Ability to work in typical data center environments for prolonged periods of time which include moderate levels of continuous background noise and below normal room temperatures.
  • Able to travel on occasion to other company offices.
