Position Summary:

 

Company expert on the use of SAP for all facets of Supply Chain. Reviews system use and functionality to implement systems improvements. Serves as bridge between Supply Chain functions and ET technical systems development. Provides varied and complex management and/or operational analysis, reports and recommendations in support of Supply Chain. Develops recommendations for actions based on analysis. 

 

This position requires advanced knowledge within a functional area and is often considered an expert in the area of responsibility. Performs work without appreciable direction and completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Develops technical solutions to highly complex or interrelated problems. Requires the ability to interpret and adapt theory and concepts into workable solutions. Leads and mentors less experienced professionals.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead process improvement initiatives with transformational activities related to Source-To-Pay, Supply Chain analytics, supplier qualification/approval, and supply diversity.
  • Engage with various levels of the organization in the development of Supply Chain Management processes and practices with an understanding of best practices.
  • Ensure Supply Chain business processes are documented, meet internal and external audit standards, and SOX compliance standards. Establish necessary process controls.
  • Ensure key performance indicators are properly defined and monitored, as well as periodically evaluated for necessary changes.
  • Support change management process to define, design, merge and implement procurement processes to provide the company a competitive advantage.
  • Act as subject matter expert around business process outside of direct responsibility.
  • Address business process issues associated with Audit, Finance, Accounting, Enterprise Technology, and Authorized Bidding Agents.
  • Responsible for content and delivery of training and support concerning Supply Chain systems and processes.
  • Proactively manage performance against expectations through metrics and action plans.
  • Resolve complex, escalated and systemic operational problems.
  • Support a continuous improvement culture by delivering continuous improvement initiatives that make end to end processes or practices more effective and efficient, while advancing an agenda of process standardization.
  • Proactively establish, develop and maintain productive operational relationships with new and existing business partners and internally to build trust and confidence in the team’s delivery.
  • Understand and stay current on Supply Chain-related benchmarking, best practices, optimal solutions and process efficiencies within the midstream industry and overall supply chain operations function.
  • Support business continuity management by ensuring adequate business continuity plan for critical procurement-related activities.

 

Minimum Education & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a technical discipline.
  • Eight (8) years’ experience in Supply Chain with background in Source to Pay or data-driven analytics.

  • Strong skills in computer applications, databases and reporting software (Microsoft Office Suite applications).
  • Expertise and practical working knowledge of ERP and associated procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Power Advocate, ISNetworld).
  • Systems integration experience including planning, evaluation and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of project management techniques with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate in a geographically-dispersed environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company’s ethics code of conduct and other company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to respect and follow safety policies and regulations; scan the environment for objects or people who may pose a safety risk; encourage others to utilize safe and healthy work practices.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and /or negligible amount of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office, or private office.
  • Subject to normal office noise levels.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to work or field locations, and/or to attend meetings or training, including overnight stays.
