Position Summary

The Lead Collaboration Administrator is responsible for support and administration of the Microsoft Office 365 environment (Exchange online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams applications) with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft 365 products focused on End User collaboration. Performs operations maintenance, expansion and support of Enable client desktop systems, including the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Dynamics, Power Platform, Azure, Intune, Endpoint Privilege Management, and Unified Communications. Provides guidance on the Enterprise Office 365 strategy and responsible for developing the technical roadmap. Mentors less experienced members of the Office 365 collaboration team and serves in a lead role on incidents and support aspects of the introduction of new technologies. The key objectives for this role are enabling automation through the Microsoft O365 technology stack, end user self-service and cost effectiveness.

This position requires advanced knowledge within a functional area and is often considered an expert in the area of responsibility. Performs work without appreciable direction and completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Develops technical solutions to highly complex or interrelated problems. Requires the ability to interpret and adapt theory and concepts into workable solutions. Leads and mentors less experienced professionals.

•    Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, Exchange (Online/2016/2013/2010), Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business.
•    Experience working in a ticketing system.

•    Respect and follow safety policies and regulations; scan the environment for objects or people who may pose a safety risk; encourage others to utilize safe and healthy work practices.

Minimum Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, and/or related discipline. In lieu of a degree, six (6) years' directly related experience will be considered.
•    Eight (8) years' directly related experience.
•    Three (3) years of experience administering cloud/collaboration technologies (e.g. Microsoft O365).
•    Experience managing unified communications preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


•    Advanced knowledge of most aspects of operating system administration.
•    Recognized expert in area of specialization.
•    Experience as an Exchange/O365 Engineer/Administrator in a corporate environment with emphasis on high-availability and uninterrupted 24/7 messaging services.
•    Experience developing Microsoft O365 roadmaps across the enterprise, providing input as well as planning for achieving roadmap objectives.
•    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft O365 licensing plans and features.
•    Strong skills in PowerShell scripting for administration, automation of processes and issue resolution.

•    Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
•    Knowledge of peripheral systems and protocols, such as e-mail gateways, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and Azure Active Directory.
•    Experience with e-mail archiving / e-discovery solutions, such as CommVault or Enterprise Vault.
•    Experience with e-mail migrations.
•    Knowledge of how to setup SSO.
•    Knowledge of Electronic Records Management and document lifecycle.
•    Advanced knowledge of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
•    Familiar with diagnosing issues related to networking components (e.g. firewalls, load balancers, web browsers, TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, LDAP).
•    Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems.
•    Strong data management skills; ability to audit, format, model and analyze large data sets.
•    Ability to coordinate the work of third-parties to ensure effective and timely solutions for integration projects and daily troubleshooting.
•    Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
•    Ability to distill data and analysis into high-level reports and summaries.
•    Ability to discern data inaccuracies through technical experience and knowledge.
•    Ability to develop system solutions for operational problems.
•    Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications

Physical Requirements

•    Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
•    Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
•    Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Working Conditions

•    Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.
•    Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
•    Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.
•    Ability to travel occasionally to work or field locations, and/or to attend meetings or training, including overnight stays.
•    Subject to normal office noise levels.
