Position Summary:


Provides deal structuring guidance and valuations of all levels of capital and non-capital projects/transactions for Enable’s Commercial, Origination, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Development and Operations teams. Provides varied and complex management and/or operational analysis, reports and recommendations in support of business/departmental programs. Integrates and compiles data into quantifiable summaries, models, and forecasts for development, review and approval of action plans. Develops recommendations to improve operational processes based on analysis.


This position requires advanced knowledge within a functional area and is often considered an expert in own area of responsibility. Work is performed without appreciable direction and completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Develops technical solutions to highly complex or interrelated problems. This position requires the ability to interpret and adapt theory and concepts into workable solutions. Leads and mentors less experienced professionals.


**Preferred Location - Oklahoma City, OK, will consider Houston, TX.**


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Lead the creation, utilization and analysis of complex stochastic financial models that require an understanding of the midstream businesses (gathering, compression, processing, transportation, storage etc.), discounted cash flows, corporate finance, accounting and project economics (NPV, IRR, Payback, etc.) to produce results used by business partners to make financially impactful decisions.
  • Act as a consultant for the department on economic assumptions and financial model integrity for all new projects.
  • Structure various aspects of commercial deal terms for new contracts, acquisition prospects and other projects based on detailed analysis, industry comparisons and understanding of ENBL business environment.
  • Present and discuss financial and economic merits of projects to functional leadership and the senior leadership team.
  • Influence senior management and business leaders on the strategic direction of projects and programs.
  • Review term sheets to ensure accurate representation of the financial model and project proposals/contractual commitments; analyze Authorization For Expenditures (AFEs) for management approval.
  • Create formal presentations for projects that include financial information, project risks, volume, commercial terms, etc. and present to senior management and business leaders.
  • Interact with several disciplines and functional groups across the company analyzing and structuring project commercial terms; interact with counterparties.
  • Track capital expenditure of board-approved projects through the completion of construction.
  • Lead in identifying industry trends and performing competitor analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial and risk analysis.
  • Provide guidance and leadership for day-to-day activities and projects.
  • Lead in identifying appropriate statistical and modeling procedures, metrics and information requirements for department.
  • Apply best practices and knowledge of internal/external businesses issues to improve processes or services.
  • Synthesize data and analysis into high-level presentations for management and senior management.
  • Thoroughly research and identify areas for analysis; produce summary analysis and present to department or executive leadership.
  • Lead or provide input to system and/or process design and configuration.
  • Serve as a source of expertise on reporting systems and data sources.
  • Take action in a self-directed manner to identify issues and make recommendations to department leadership.
  • Solve problems and develop solutions that call for original approach based on thorough and comprehensive knowledge and expertise.
  • Act as subject matter expert; determine the need for data review and direct analysis of less experienced Analysts.
  • Through analysis and expertise, proactively identify problems or challenges and provide strategic solutions to top management.
  • Anticipate data needs, new and existing, for building capabilities in management and strategic decision-making.
  • Plan, prioritize, conduct and lead assignments.
  • Serve as project or case manager in the development, analysis, presentation, and completion of business projects.
  • Act as a resource for Analysts with less experience and direct the technical complexities of work.
  • Determine type of analysis needed to achieve a goal or result and identify the stakeholders of a project or initiative; may lead or act as lead on a project team.
  • Lead and mentor less experienced analysts.


Minimum Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Eight (8) years' directly related experience in financial analysis, risk analysis, business analysis, etc.
  • CFA/MBA or other professional certificates/advanced degrees related to Finance, Economics or Quantitative disciplines preferred.
  • Energy industry or midstream experience preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Advanced financial modeling skills; ability to develop financial models using Crystal Ball or @Risk.
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate finance and economics concepts and modeling techniques with expertise in two or more of the following areas (corporate finance, peer comparison analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, quantitative modeling, statistical modeling and simulation, probability theory, option theory).
  • Advanced knowledge of discounted cash flow modeling.
  • Strong ability to use linear/linear and non-linear programming techniques to solve optimization problems.
  • Knowledge of merger and acquisition processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of natural gas midstream industry's value drivers.
  • Advanced ability to distill complex data into concise and easily understood concepts and recommendations.
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Strong data management skills; ability to audit, format, model and analyze large data sets.
  • Advanced ability to distill data and analysis into high-level reports and summaries.
  • Advanced ability to discern data inaccuracies through technical experience and knowledge.
  • Strong ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Strong collaboration skills in order to partner effectively across various disciplines and levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility.
  • Advanced skills in computer applications, databases and reporting software (Excel, Crystal Ball, @Risk, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Understanding of project management techniques with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities priorities, tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Work independently; with minimal guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Recognized expert in area of specialization.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
  • Ability to influence at most levels of the organization.


Physical Requirements:


  • Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
