Summary:

 

Responsible for assisting the Commodity Accounting Group in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close of financial and physical derivative activity for Enable Midstream Partners, LP and its subsidiaries.  Other responsibilities include preparing and compiling accounting schedules and reports utilized by a multitude of users and departments throughout the organization.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare journal entry documents for entry.
  • Obtain journal entry support and upload to SAP or other systems.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure balances are accurate.
  • Responds to inquiries from internal/external customers.
  • Prepare specialized reports/statements/reconciliations.
  • Document work in a manner that complies with Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Effectively utilize automation tools to streamline the department’s processes.
  • Promote a team environment that focuses on supporting other employees to ensure departmental success.

 

Education:

 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

 

Experience:

 

  • Either, six (6) hours of Accounting courses and a minimum of three (3) years related experience; or
  • Six (6) years related experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance considered in lieu of experience
  • Valid State Driver's License

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Personal computer skills with strong knowledge in Microsoft applications and other related software. (Excel, SAP, CXL).
  • Able to communicate in speech and writing with members at all levels throughout the organization and outside professionals.
  • Able to work within and support Company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
  • Must have the ability to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone, and other office equipment.  Must be able to bend and stoop.
  • Able to sit and view a personal computer display for long periods of time.

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Most work is performed in an office environment. May be subject to extended periods sitting at a work station to perform work.
  • Subject to operation of a personal computer for extended periods including using keyboard, mouse and viewing computer monitor.
  • Subject to normal office noise levels.
  • May periodically require work outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, under sometimes stressful conditions in order to meet business needs and strict deadlines.
